                                                Experience with Half Saree

Aunties make fun of me, but at the same time, they speak very well and are nice to me. Anu Aunty came, sat near, and held my hand. She said, Don't worry, Rajiv. We are all with you, so don't panic. I'm always with you, and if you want any help, just call me and I will  come.I said okay. Anu Aunty asked her daughters to be with me. I don't know what to do, and my mom is busy speaking with Grandma. Then Divya started to speak with her, and she is like her mom and so kind. We talked about this village and about her studies. Suresh is seeing me, and I don't know what to do. I felt very shy and didn't know how to react.We had dinner night, and all the ladies were talking in the hall, while the uncles sat outside and talked. Anu aunty applied henna to cousin sisters, and grandma asked me to put henna. then I went near and sat and Anu aunty put henna on my hands and legs, and its very beautiful henna designs on my hands and legs too.

i was sitting alone and at the time I got call from Ragavi, but now I cannot attend that call. I called Anu Aunty and asked for her help in keeping the phone in my ear. I called Ragavi, but she asked me to do a video call, but I felt scared, and if she knew about this henna, she would tease me. Suddenly, she called, and Anu attended the call and came in front of me. Anu Aunty and I went to our room. I sat on the bed, and Aunty sat on the other side. I asked Aunty where Divya was, and this call would take more time, and Aunty said just now they went to sleep, and she said, "Okay, Rajiv, I will hold my mobile. While seeing me, Ragavi laughed and teased me a lot, and she started calling me little sister, and I told her aunty with me, and they spoke some time. 

We both chitchatted for some time, but all the time she was laughing, and I felt very shy. I told her I would call tomorrow, and we spoke for almost 2 hours. Then I said thanks to Anu Aunty, and she said it was ok, and while going, she kissed me and said you are also like my son, so don't feel bad asking for this kind of help. I almost cried in my eyes while hearing this. I hugged her, said sorry, and went to sleep. Anu Aunty went to her home and younger uncle is staying seperate home and he is working as goverment bus driver. The next morning, I woke up around 10 a.m. I came out of the room, and my uncles went to work, and even my mom was not there. Grandma is only sitting in the hall; Anu aunty is working in the kitchen; and 2 aunties went to work. Anu asked me to take a bath, and I took a bath. I put on my dress(pant,shirt), and I had breakfast. Now I removed my earrings and didn't comb my hair, so I put on my cap and planned to go out, but my grandma stopped, and she called my mom, and she scoled my mom, but I don't know why she scoled my mom. Mom asked me to go to my room, so I did.

I went to my room but my mom and grandmother were discussing something about me. Mom and aunty went another room and I really don't know what's going on. they asked to come that room and i went inside the room I saw a chudithar and half saree on bed. My mom asked me to sit on the bed.she said

Mom - listen, rajiv. Your grandmother always wanted to meet her granddaughter. After all these years, she never got to meet her, so....

Me - so what? Say it

Mom - after seeing you with your long hair and all. She wants you to be granddaughter for few days.

Me - no, I won't agree

mom tried to convince me, my mom literally cried, so with no choice I agreed. Without wasting no time, they asked me chosse me any dress and i said anything is ok with angry look. They gave 3 blouses to try and in this only one is fitted and its rani old dresses so mom asked me to wear rani old dress. i dont have any option so i said ok.

Then i wored the blouse with help of mom and my mom was draping the half saree on me, my aunt put bangles to my hands, asked me put same jumikhas earrings, anklets to my legs. I was really sad, my mom and aunt were convincing me to be happy, mom braided my hair and put small necklace.

After I was ready, they escorted me to my grandmother, who is waiting for me. See was stunned after looking at me.

Grandmother(GM) - Rajiv, you really look very beautiful in this half saree and jewellery.

I don't to what to say, I stood silently. She understood my embarrassment. So she took me to get room and we were alone

GM - look, rajiv, there is nothing to embarrass about. Its only for few days.

Me - OK. But for few days

GM - good. Now your name is Raji. OK

Me - OK

GM - don't worry, we will have so much fun and I will teach everything about being a women.

I just simply nodded my head.

For a few hours, I was uncomfortable speaking with GM. At the time Anu aunty came to the room and asked me whether you were coming to agriculture land where uncles and aunties are working, I said ok. Slowly, I moved from the room. Anu Aunty asked me to walk slowly; otherwise, you will fall down. I said okay; Aunty took food for them, and I went walking with her. heavy sun rises, I am feeling hot, and I have reached land. All men are wearing white dhoti with white banyan and white turbans on their heads; ladies are wearing sarees, and they are doing some work. Anu Aunty called uncles and aunties to eat lunch. All were washed their hands and legs and came. I was slowly walking and visiting the places when suddenly I heard a voice and got scared. I was going to fall down,

and one person came and held my hips. The face I am seeing is none other than Suresh. I said thanks to him, but he didn't leave me and held me tightly, and he was rubbing my waist. I pushed him and ran to Aunty. All the ladies are asking about me, and Shanthi told them that she is my DIL, and she came from Chennai and told me my name. Then all the ladies came and asked about my mom, and they left. Uncles went to rest near a tree. Shanthi aunty asked me to eat lunch, and I said no, aunty, and I would go home and eat. Radha aunty scoled Anu aunty because now 2 clk still Raji didn't have lunch, then Shanthi and Radha fed me food, and I ate lunch there. After some time, they went to work, and Anu Aunty also ate her lunch, and she also went to work. I simply sat there and took my mobile and took some videos and photos. I called my girlfriend and spoke with her some time. then 4 clk Anu Aunty came and we both came home, and I was feeling very, so I went to my room and slept some time.
